It might be for a month or a year. I really don’t know. I love this blog and I’ve had such a fun time blogging over the past months and over the years that I’ve had blogs. It’s just gotten too much for me to handle. I have a huge school load this year which I’m grateful for. I love all of my subjects and really want to be focusing on doing well in school. I really want to try and come back when I’m less busy or maybe over the summer. Trust me this isn’t goodbye. I’ll be back. Also a big thanks to all of my followers you guys ROCK!! Keep killin it guys! 🙂

My Journey in Theatre + Tips

My Journey in Theatre + Tips

Hello everyone!! Today I’m going to be talking about my theatre experiences, what my favorite parts of theatre are, and some fun tips to help you if your in theatre. Also thank you all for your supportive get well comments they made my day! 😉

*Before we get started I just want to define that a co-op is like a school for homeschoolers we go once a week and take classes on top of our classes at home

– How Did I Get Into Theatre?

I’ve always loved theatre growing up. My friends and I would always put on little skits and plays for our younger siblings. Once I got older I really wanted to start doing actually shows and performances. My first show I was in was in 4th grade and it was a play called Captain Dangerous. It was kinda’ve a confusing show because the show was about a group of performers putting on a show. It was like a show within a show. I was cast as Helga an annoying reporter who kept trying to get information about the show and just being generally obnoxious. It was a really good first role because it helped be become comfortable on stage.

– What Happened After Captain Dangerous?

After Captain Dangerous. I ended up moving and was no longer in the same co-op. I joined a new one and in 6th grade. I was cast in the Prince and the Pauper. It was a really big production and I ended up not getting the role I wanted which was super sad but I still had a speaking part. I was a peasant who had to beg in front of the Prince’s royal advisor/uncle. One of the things I will say is working with your best friends on a show is so hard and fun because all you do is constantly make fun of each other. 😛 Moving on in 2016… I think I did Snow White and the Seven Dwarves . I was Happy which was such a fun role to play and I loved getting to do it. My fellow dwarves were such nice people and we all had a super fun time together.

– What About Now

Currently I’m working on the Lion King Jr with my current co-op and this time I have the biggest role. I’ve ever done which is Scar. scar.gif

I love Scar so much. He’s so sarcastic and probably one of the best Disney villains in my opinion. I’m super excited for this show because I get to help with hair and makeup. Also I get to help a lot of the younger kids who have never done theatre before and teach them which is amazing! I don’t get to do theatre as much as I would like on-top of everything else on my schedule which makes this semester really fun and special for me.

Now onto my tips for starting in theatre!!

  • Don’t be nervous. The first time you get on that stage you’ll probably be nervous but try to just suppress it. In theatre you need to have confidence that’s the key to getting good.
  • F-A-C-I-A-L E-X-P-R-E-S-S-I-O-N-S: I cannot stress enough how much having facial expressions and emotions in your face will help you. If possible before an audition look over the script and whatever part your trying for. Embody the characters emotions. If you don’t use the facial expressions you won’t stand out from any of the other people.
  • Find a group that fits your level. If you’ve never been in a play before jumping right into community theatre probably isn’t the best idea. Maybe try school play or a 1 act play.
  • Last but not least! Have fun. Theatre is supposed to be fun if you don’t like it or are SO terrified of being on a stage. It’s okay theatre is not for everyone and remember theatre isn’t about the actors. There’s also sound, lights, makeup, costume, and set design.

I hope you enjoyed learning all about theatre. I know this post was different from most of my other posts.

Goodbye loves,

Rose ❤

I’m Concussed Guys

I’m Concussed Guys

Hello dearies,

I can only stay a second… because that’s what my doctor told me anywho. Last Friday, I got a concussion no it wasn’t playing a sport. A wooden wall panel fell on my head and now I have to live in boredom for 2 weeks so YAY! 😛 I can’t read, write, be on electronics, watch tv, or pretty much do anything with my brain for 2 weeks. I’m getting better and only have 1 week left to go but i just wanted to give you a heads up that I’m not dead and will be back very soon to bring some more posts.

Thanks for understanding and miss you all,

Rose ❤

How to Be Consistent with New Years Goals and Resolutions

How to Be Consistent with New Years Goals and Resolutions

How to Be Consistent with New Years Goals (1).pngHello everyone!! We’ve all heard it the new years resolutions and how no one actually sticks with them the entire year. Well I have formulated the perfect plan to help you stick with those New Years Goals the WHOLE year through. It will be hard but I have faith in you my friends that you will be able to persevere through the year and achieve all of those amazing goals.

Step 1 – The Goal

Picture the goal you have is it to workout, eat healthy, blog more, ect. Now whatever that goal is make it super specific. Say my goal was to eat healthy narrow it down and say I want to eat one healthy meal and one healthy snack a day.

Eat Healthy —> Eat 1 healthy snack and 1 healthy meal a day

Workout —> Work out twice a week

Read more —> I want to read 1 book a week or 1 book every two weeks

See how much more attainable the goal seems now that it’s smaller and as the year goes on if you are sticking with it you can try and do more than your goal. Maybe try and work out three times a week or eat two healthy meals a day.

Step 2 – Get a Friend

This step is optional but it really helps. Ask one of your friends if they will help you stick with your goal whatever it may be. I want to read my Bible more this year as one of my goals so I enlisted in the help of my group of best friends and we are all keeping each other accountable. Everyday we text each other “did you do the reading?” or “how did you like the reading today?”. It really helps knowing someone is counting on you to do the goal.

Step 3 – Write it Down

Keep the goal posted somewhere you will see it all the time. You can put a post it note on the bathroom mirror, keep it on your door, in your planner, on your laptop. What really helps too is if you use it as your phone wallpaper. Just make sure it’s somewhere you will see it a lot.

Step 4 – Get Encouraged

bob ross.gif
Bob Ross is seriously like my role model.

Now there is NO way, you will be able to complete this resolution without encouragement. I recommend reading some encouraging books. I’ve recently started reading some and they really inspire me to go for the big dreams. Also download apps there are certain apps that will send you little helpful messages throughout the day and they will totally give you that burst of encouragement when you need it. My last tip for encouraging would be believing in yourself. You are a beautiful amazing person who can do anything all you have to do is believe and trust in yourself and you’ll be surprised at what you can achieve.

Okay folks that’s all for today. I hope this helped you become more encouraged and ready to tackle 2019. Before you go I wanted to propose an idea to you guys. I’ve been thinking about transitioning over to a lifestyle blog which is what I’ve been super passionate about lately. I would love to be able to do more lifestyle posts and of course still keep some of the book reviews and other things.

What do you guys think? Comment below because I really need your help with this.

That’s all for now.

Bye lovelies,

Rose ❤

**Goals for 2019**

**Goals for 2019**

Happy 2019 everyone. I cannot wait to see what this year has in store for this blog and myself as well. Before I did this post I had a grand plan of doing the 2018 goals and 2019 goals but well it turns out I never made a post with 2018 goals. *cue sad music*

It’s okay though. I probably have enough 2019 goals to make up for the lack of 2018 ones. 😛

Reading + Bookish Fun (5).png

First off onto the blogging goals.

– Hit 100 followers

We currently are at 37 and I think it’s totally possible to hit 100 this year.

– Post at least two times a week

I think I’m going to start having a schedule and posting on maybe Mondays and Thursdays.

– Do more book related posts

I feel like most of my posts have been non-book related this past year and the whole blog is supposed to be books.

– Make some blogging friends and internet besties

– Do a big contest of some sort

I’m thinking for 75 or 50 followers doing a writing/photography contest or something along those lines.

Those are all of my blogging goals. I hope to be super successful this year in my blogging. 😀

Reading + Bookish Fun (6).png

My favorite part all about my lovely beautiful children. Aka my books.

– Read 100 books

I’m using Goodreads to keep track of all the books I read. My goal this year was 50 and I was 1 book short. (I’m a sad human being sometimes) I’m doubling my goal this year so wish me luck. *also be sure to check out the sidebar to see my Goodreads account

– Read more contemporary

I’m a very fantasy centered reader and I really need to broaden my reading imagination.

– Start planning my book drive

So I’m in an organization called AHG and I’m working on a project for my Stars and Stripes award that’s comparable to an Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts. My project is collecting books and funds to put mini libraries in homeless shelters throughout my community. I’m so excited to be able to do this! 😀

Reading + Bookish Fun (8).png

– Start my vet tec certification

I’m doing a curriculum through 4-H to become a vet technician and I’m so excited. I have to complete a textbook and intern for 500 hrs before I can take the test to be an assistant vet tec.

– Keep my GPA at 4.0

I currently have a 4.0 gpa and I really want to try to keep that going throughout the yr and the rest of high school.

– Hit a home run

I’ve still never hit an out of the park home run and it’s been my dream for so long.

– Read my bible everyday

– Workout 2-3 times a week

– Eat at least 1 healthy meal a day

I want to start getting better with my eating and making sure I’m eating good clean things that will help my body instead of harm it.

Those are all my goals. Thanks for sticking around and reading them. I cannot wait to see what 2019 has in store.

Happy New Year

*Merry Christmas*

*Merry Christmas*

This is going to be a short post but…

I hope you all had a wonderful day celebrating with family, eating yummy food, and celebration the birth of Jesus.

Matthew 1:21 – And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 1:14 – The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

I hope that today everyone remember the true meaning of Christmas and if you haven’t believed in Jesus that you would repent and believe in Him as your true Lord and Savior. He came down to earth in the form of a baby for US!! You and me. He gave up his mighty power and humbled himself for us. At any moment he could’ve just used his power gone to heaven. He even could’ve gotten up off the cross but he didn’t because he loved US!

I hope you had a lovely Christmas!! 😀

Also I’m super sorry about blogmas I haven’t been home and I couldn’t post.
